As we work with each client to determine what they want on their website, we explain the pros and cons of using various technologies as it pertains to their business.
Greg Schwab is an outdoorsman, artist, contemplative and attorney. As can be surmised by his paintings of wildlife, Greg Schwab has spent much of his leisure time also enjoying the beauty and bounty of South Louisiana marshes, waterways, and woodlands. His web site uses a deep maroon color to serve as the backdrop to his paintings with their vibrant colors. Not having a signature piece of art work, we took a portion of one of his paintings, and created a unique title graphic to display on all the pages of his web site. He was so impressed with the title graphic that he now uses it as a de facto logo on all of his printed materials.
Kaki Birtel wanted a web site to show off her paintings while keeping within her theme of being an “Artist in Motion”. Her site utilizes several Internet technologies to portray that motion. From her home page, which displays one of her paintings changing colors in concert with her tag line, to a secondary page which displays all of her paintings in a revolving carousel that the web viewer can control.
Chalmette Refining, a joint venture between ExxonMobil and PDVSA, the Venezuelan State Oil company, they wanted a simple web site for local residents to be able to download their latest community newsletter and to also submit questions and comments. The one page site mimics the look of the community newsletter while providing email and database technologies in the background.
